Biography
Luis Ernesto Aparicio Montiel (born April 29, 1934) is a former professional baseball player from Venezuela. He played as a shortstop in Major League Baseball (MLB) for 18 seasons from 1956 through 1973.[1] In 1956, Aparicio won the American League (AL) Rookie of the Year Award playing for the Chicago White Sox. Nicknamed "Little Louie", Aparicio was the dominant shortstop of his era and was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984.
