Biography
oy Joseph Staiger (born January 6, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is a former infielder in Major League Baseball who played for the New York Mets (1975–77) and New York Yankees (1979). He played primarily at third base. Staiger was drafted out of high school by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 15th round of the June 1969 amateur draft. He declined to sign with the Dodgers and instead attended Bacone College in Oklahoma.
