Mélido Turpen Gross Pérez (born February 15, 1966 in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic), is a former right-handed Major League Baseball pitcher from 1987 through 1995 for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, and New York Yankees. He made his major league debut for the Kansas City Royals on September 4, 1987. In that game, Pérez pitched seven innings of shutout ball for the victory.
