Biography
Darren Keefe Daye (born November 30, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa) is a retired American professional basketball player. The 6'8", 220 lb guard-forward played high-school basketball for John F. Kennedy High School in the Granada Hills district[citation needed] of Los Angeles and attended UCLA. Daye was selected by the Washington Bullets in the 3rd round (57th overall) of the 1983 NBA Draft. His son, Austin Daye, played for Gonzaga University men's basketball team, and was drafted into the NBA by the Detroit Pistons with the 15th pick of the 1st round of the 2009 NBA Draft.
