Biography

Robert Nathan Floyd (born October 20, 1943 in Hawthorne, California) is an American former Major League Baseball player. An infielder, Floyd played for the Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals. After his MLB career, Floyd became a manager in Minor league baseball. In 1981, as a second year manager of the Lynn Sailors of the Eastern League, Floyd pitched four innings and allowed one run in a game. What is unique about this is that Floyd had never played in a professional game six years prior to that game, nor had he ever pitched in a game throughout his professional playing career from 1964 to 1975. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Floyd
